Ok I've already worked out a gift exchange plan and informed everyone who's buying for who. Keep it a secret guys! Haha I'm the only one who knows who's buying for me cos I planned it, how sad :(

Ok for food we will have:
- Pizza, spaghetti (optional)
- Egg Mayo & Tuna Sandwiches x 30 (bite sized) (Aishah)

- Fishballs & Hotdogs x 30 each (Me)

Xclusive Xmas Party @ Nanxiao's

Yo. Gernaine here. Everyone should totally leave their name when blogging in the class blog, hahaha...

About the gift exchange thing right, I suggest that everyone who's going just buy a gift within a certain price range. Then at Nanxiao's house, we number the presents and put them aside. At the end of the party, everyone pick a number from a box (sort of like a lucky draw) and so everyone gets a present! Yay, so exciting! If we can somehow lug a christmas tree there we can decorate it haha, so fun.

& let's all be nicely dressed, like Chunhan said! Wear dresses girls!! :D

I was thinking, we can have pizza (but not too many). See who wants pizza and we can order on that day! We should have potluck! Let's all pair up and bring one item per pair! (Like 2 people bring fishballs, etc. If everyone brings one item we'll have a lot of leftovers.) I will arrange some people to get halal food, and the others normal. We can get some takeaways. Easier also. Those who aren't getting food, get the drinks, easy and cheap, hahahahahah :D And if you buy anything for the food, remember, keep the receipt, we'll add it all up at the end of the party so everyone pays an equal share :)

Okay I'll work out a christmas party proposal now. Everyone from 15/07 will be invited, except of course those who have returned to niang jia, haha we'll still extend the invitation to you all, fly back if you can! :D

Venue: Nanxiao's house.
Time: 28th December 2008, 4pm. If you guys wanna go earlier you can arrange with Nanxiao, I can't cos I have something on. I think Chunhan has something on also.
Dress Code: Smart Casual (Oh yes, since it is Christmas, everyone must come with something red/green in their attire. If possible, come with a fancy hat! :D)
Gift: Something that costs between $10-$15. Make sure it is wrapped. To make it more exciting, no chocolates are allowed as gifts! (Chocolates are quite boring gifts, imo.)
Prizes: For best dressed, Chunhan, who will buy the gift? And what will be attractive enough? Haha and who will be the judge? We must consider all these.
For games, we may have additional prizes. See how our budget.

Food: After people confirm their attendance, then I can plan the amount of food we all should bring. And turkey? I think not easy to roast leh D: Yuhui can do it! We can get some takeaways & some home cooked food. Also, should we get logcake??? Baked potatoes should be easy :D I was thinking we can order chicken wing & fishballs from outside. & I'm ordering donuts too. So everyone can eat them! Please don't bring alcohol. Let's have a decent party! Don't want anybody to get drunk!

Songs: I think we should have songs too, what's a party without songs? Anyone has a christmas songs cd? Please reply and help to bring, I don't have any D:

hey peeps!

regarding the christmas party thing, the date will be 28.12.08, Sunday. i know that christmas is over by then, but yuhui and i can't make it on any weekdays. the venue will be nanxiao's house.

unfortunately, yuhui and i will be busy with our work and won't be able to plan for the party, so i need you all to plan. somebody please help us lead this whole thing. maybe cera? gernaine? junying? nanxiao? (since we're having it at your house)

to help with the planning, i will outline some things that need to be planned:

1. gifts exchange: everyone will buy someone else a gift, and it has to be a secret who you are buying a gift for. do you get my drift? okay, you probably need a list for this, and you need to inform people who they are buying a gift for.

2. food and beverage: i don't know what you all want to eat, but if you want something convenient, i would say pizza. you can get 1.5ml drinks (like lemon tea or something) or sparkling juice in the nice bottles. (: i don't know, you all can discuss this.

3. music: what's a christmas party without christmas songs? I WANT TO HAVE THE SONG-ALL I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS BY MARIAH CAREY! :D haha.

4. games: erm, definitely NOT twister or anything like that 'cause everyone will be dressed nicely. that reminds me, please dress in smart casual, girls-wear dresses! (: oh! you could have a guess-lyrics-of-christmas-songs game!

5. funds: haha, you have to work all the costs and work out how much each person has to pay.

6. prizes: i don't know about this. but i think a best dressed award would prompt everyone to dress very nicely.

7. decoration: i know this is kind of like a waste of money, but maybe just do up a corner of the house for us to take nice pictures?

8. christmas tree: ? i don't know, but a lot of people wants this, but nanxiao doesn't have one!

this is all i can think of now, so please feel free to add on and give more ideas.

now, we need to know who are coming for this. okay, i need to put someone in charge of this. erm, yi-ni mai-ni mi-ni moe, gernaine! :D haha. those who are going, please tell gernaine! and please forward the news of this party to all the other people who don't know. gernaine, yuhui and i will be going! :D
